Satellite Media Tours
Satellite Media Tours are a variation of
Live Shots. These tours can range
from a single guest and a single camera
up to four guests and three studio cameras.
SMT’s are of a longer duration than a Live Shot,
or a Webcast... generally lasting from
three to four or more hours in length.
Satellite Media Tours are always delivered
via satellite (hence the name) and are received
by a multitude of TV and Radio stations during the
the time the event is “on the bird”.
One critical element of a successful
Satellite Media Tour is the coordination of
the incoming IFB and PL audio sources.
Our PixMix HD Control Room is equipped
with multiple telephone hybrids and
phone lines, making “hop scotching” of the
IFB and PL audio a seamless affair.
